Former WestLB Banker Tavakoli Starts
Credit Derivatives Firm

Chicago, April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Janet Tavakoli, former head
of financial engineering at WestLB AG, Germany's largest state
bank, started her own derivatives consulting company.
The company, called Tavakoli Structured Finance Inc., will be
based in Chicago and focus on structuring -- repackaging debt
for
resale, and on credit derivatives and collateralized debt
obligations,fore both used to transfer risk.

Janet Tavakoli is the president
of Tavakoli Structured Finance, a Chicago-based firm that provides
consulting to financial institutions and institutional investors.
Ms. Tavakoli has more than 20 years of experience in senior investment
banking positions, trading, structuring and marketing structured
financial products. She is a former adjunct professor of derivatives
at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. She
